Brett Kern was born on February 17th, 1986, in Grand Island, New York. He is a punter in the NFL.

Married to Tiffany Kern and the couple has a son, Bryce Jeremiah, and two daughters, Anelle Naomi and Quinn Eliana. Was a two-time first-team all-state selection at Grand Island High School in Grand Island, N.Y., and averaged 39 yards per punt as a senior and 42.5 yards per punt as a junior. Also played basketball and was a long jumper and high hurdler on the track team in high school. 

In 2008, Kern won the starting punter job for the Broncos, winning the job over competitor Sam Paulescu. Kern was claimed off waivers by the Tennessee Titans and On November 1, he made his Titans debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had four punts for 193 net yards for a 48.25 average.

On February 24, Kern signed a four-year, $5.2 million contract extension with the Titans with $2.1 million guaranteed. On March 8, 2015, Kern signed a five-year $15 million contract extension with the Titans. On March 7, 2019, Kern signed a four-year, $12.55 million contract extension with the Titans through the 2023 season.
