BIOGRAPHY
Brandon Williams was born on February 21st, 1989, in Kirkwood, Missouri. He is a defensive end in the NFL.
Outside of football, Williams is a talented singer who enjoys listening to and singing all types of music. He appeared on the 2018 CBS TV show “Most Valuable Performer” and sang the Bruno Mars song “What I Like”. His teammates Alex Collins and Justin Tucker were also on the show, with Tucker winning the competition. He is also considered one of the team’s best dancers, particularly known for his “Carlton Dance.” In college, he played in 42 games (30 starts) at Missouri Southern State, recording 191 tackles (87 solo), school records with 52.5 TFL (-238 yards) and 27 sacks (-166 yards), 14 PD and 6 FFs. Additionally, he earned MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and All-America honors after posting a career-high 68 tackles (31 solo), adding team highs with 5 FFs, 16.5 TFL and 8.5 sacks. He also received All-American, All-MIAA and All-Region first-team accolades as a junior in 2011 and was a consensus All-American selection as a sophomore in 2010. He majored in industrial engineering. In 2017, he posted 30 tackles, 2 PD and 1 FR (which he returned for a TD) for a unit that led the league in both takeaways (34) and INTs (22) and finished ranked 12th overall (325.1 ypg).
Williams was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round, with the 94th overall pick, of the 2013 NFL Draft.
In 2016, he recorded 51 tackles (34 solo), 1 sack, and 1 PD for a defense that allowed the NFL’s fifth-fewest rushing yards (89.4 ypg) and was the league’s seventh-ranked unit (322.1 ypg). Williams’ 51 total tackles ranked third-most among NFL nose tackles in 2016.
In 2017, he signed a five-year extension with the Baltimore Ravens.
On November 30, 2022, the Kansas City Chiefs signed Williams to their practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on December 8, 2022.
