BIOGRAPHY
Blidi Wreh-Wilson was born on December 5, 1989, in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. He is a cornerback in the NFL.
In his early years, Wreh-Wilson attended General McLane High School where he was a four-sport star in football, basketball, track, and soccer. He played for the McLane Lancers high school football team. He was an honorable mention all-state pick as a senior and was rated only a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, he committed to Connecticut over an offer from Buffalo. In track, he ran the 100-meter dash in 11.4 seconds, and the 400-meter dash in 51.03 seconds.
After he finished high school, Wreh-Wilson committed to the University of Connecticut where as a freshman in 2008, he was named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week before playing against Virginia on September 13 and South Florida on November 23. He was also named the Special Team Scout Team Player of the Week before the North Carolina game on October 4. As a sophomore in 2009, he gained great experience in his first year of collegiate play with action in all 13 games and started nine games, including the final seven of the season and had 40 tackles with one interception where it came in win against Louisville on October 17. He also led the team with six pass breakups and had nine tackles against Cincinnati on November 7 and six in win vs. Syracuse on November 28. As a junior in 2010, Wreh-Wilson started all 13 games for the Huskies at cornerback in 2010, had four interceptions on the season and returned two of them for touchdowns his two interception returns for TDs ties a single-season best and named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for his game against Vanderbilt October 2 when he had a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown and returned a fumble for 24 yards, had a 46-yard interception return for a TD against Buffalo on September 25, had seven tackles in win against Pittsburgh on November 11, had seven tackles against Oklahoma on January 1 in Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, had six tackles against Louisville on October 23 and earned the Defensive Game Ball against Vanderbilt. In 2012, Wreh-Wilson made a career-high nine tackles against Iowa State on September 16 and had seven tackles win an interception in the win over Rutgers on November 26. In 2013, he played and started 11 games, was honored as the team's Most Valuable Player and was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team...recorded 47 tackles on the season.
After he graduated from college, Wreh-Wilson entered the 2013 NFL Draft where he was selected in the third round by the Tennessee Titans. He signed his four-year rookie contract with the Titans on June 20, 2013, and in his rookie season, he played in 13 games in a reserve role and contributed nine tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass defended, and one forced fumble while adding five tackles and one forced fumble on special teams. In 2014, Wreh-Wilson started 11 games at cornerback and ranked second on the team with 10 passes defended and recorded 57 tackles, an interception, and a quarterback pressure in the 2014 season. On August 28, 2016, Wreh-Wilson was waived by the Titans and on November 29, 2016, Wreh-Wilson was signed by the Atlanta Falcons. He was released by the Falcons on December 9, 2016, but he was re-signed three days later. On March 10, 2017, Wreh-Wilson signed a one-year contract with the Falcons and on March 10, 2018, Wreh-Wilson signed a one-year contract extension with the Falcons. On February 22, 2019, Wreh-Wilson signed another one-year contract extension with the Falcons.
