BIOGRAPHY
Ben Powers was born on October 29th, 1996 in Wichita, Kansas. He is a guard in the National Football League.
He attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic; after high school, he attended Butler Community College for a year. He was ranked as a four-star recruit by ESPN and a three-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals, and he tabbed as No. 36 overall JUCO player by ESPN, No. 40 by Rivals and No. 79 by 247Sports. He was also selected as No. 2 JUCO guard by ESPN, No. 6 JUCO offensive tackle by 247Sports and No. 7-ranked JUCO offensive lineman by Rivals.
He played college football at the University of Oklahoma; in 2016 he was a second-team All-Big 12 selection by AP and an honorable mention All-Big 12 pick by league's coaches and played in 11 games with starts at left guard in each of last ten contests; he played 595 snaps and surrendered one sack.
In 2017 he was named to All-Big 12 Second Team by league's coaches and an Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree and a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection; he played in all 14 games and made 12 starts (10 at left guard, two at right guard).
In 2018 he was A consensus All-American at offensive guard and was named a first-team All-American by the AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News and Walter Camp Foundation. He was an Outland Trophy semifinalist and a first-team All-Big 12 selection by league coaches and the AP.
Powers was an Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection and a member of an OU offensive line unit that won the Joe Moore Award; he started all 13 of his games at left guard and did not give up a sack.
The Baltimore Ravens selected Powers with the 123rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Powers signed a four year deal with the Denver Broncos on March 13, 2022.
