Austin Seibert was born on November 15, 1996, in Belleville, Illinois. He is a kicker in the NFL
During high school, Seibert was listed as No. 1 punter in the country by Kohls. He was ranked as No. 1 kicker in the country by ESPN, No. 2 by Kohl’s and Rivals and No. 5 by 247Sports.
During his freshman season in 2015, Seibert played in all 13 games. He made a 22-yard field goal and punted six times for an average of 38.8 yards in Orange Bowl against Clemson (12/31). He earned honorable mention All-America honors at punter from Sports Illustrated.
In 2016 during his sophomore season, Seibert registered five tackles (four unassisted). He was named 2016 Preseason All-Big 12 at punter. Seibert averaged 41.1 yards on 48 punts with a long of 53 yards, six of at least 50 yards, 22 inside the 20-yard-line and only one touchback.
As a junior in 2017, Seibert played in all 14 games. He made 17 of his 21 field goal tries for a career-high 81.0-percent success rate and made 12 consecutive field goal attempts from Oct. 14 to Dec. 2. Seibert was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after connecting on a career-long 51-yard field goal and recording touchbacks on 8 of 9 kickoffs against West Virginia (11/25). He averaged 41.1 yards on seven punts and made both field goal tries at Kansas (11/18).
As a senior in 2018, Seibert played in all 14 games. He led Big 12 and broke own single-season school record with 138 points. He made 17 of 19 field goal attempts for a career-high 89.5-percent success rate. Seibert made field goals of 21, 31 and 42 yards and all four PATs at Iowa State (9/15) to earn Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
The Cleveland Browns selected Seibert in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Seibert signed his rookie contract with the Browns on May 3, 2019.
Seibert was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals on September 15, 2020.
