BIOGRAPHY
Angelo Blackson was born on November 14th, 1992, in Wilmington, Delaware, and currently plays defensive end for the Houston Texans in the NFL.
Blackson attended Red Lion Christian Academy High School and played college football at Auburn University.
During high school, Blackson during his senior season, had 40 tackles including three sacks, three forced fumbles, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery in just seven games, as a junior, collected 56 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks, he punted 40 times for a 36.1-yard average with a long of 52 yards.
Blackson played for the Auburn University football team from 2011 to 2014. In 2011 Blackson recorded six tackles, including 1.5 for loss (-3) while playing in all 13 games as a true freshman along the defensive line. In 2012 was his first season as a starter at defensive tackle, made 10 career starts, and made a pair of tackles and a TFL in first career start vs. Clemson. In 2013 Blackson made three tackles and a sack vs. Arkansas State, two tackles, two QB hurries vs. Ole Miss, and a pair of tackles and a TFL at Texas A&M. In 2014 Blackson started at left defensive tackle. He made two solo tackles vs. Arkansas, a solo stop against San José State.
The Tennessee Titans selected Blackson in the fourth round (100th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. On May 14, 2015, the Tennessee Titans signed Blackson to a four-year contract.
On September 4, 2017, Blackson was signed to the New England Patriots' practice squad.
Angelo Blackson has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the Houston Texans in the NFL. On March 11, 2019, Blackson signed a three-year contract.
