Rodions Kurucs was born on February 5th, 1998 in Cēsis, Latvia. He is a small forward in the NBA.

Kurucs began his career playing for VEF Riga of the Latvian Basketball League. In July 2015, Kurucs would agree with a deal to play for FC Barcelona of Liga ACB and EuroLeague. 

On 21 June 2018, he was selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round with the 40th overall pick.
