Mohamed Bamba was born on May 12, 1998, in New York City, New York. He is a forward/center in the NBA.

He is the son of proud parents Lancine Bamba and Aminata Johnson, who relocated from the Ivory Coast. Mohamed’s ancestors were born and brought up in Mali.

His older sibling, Sidiki Johnson, engaged in college basketball at Arizona, Providence, and Wabash Valley. An additional member of his household, separated brother Ibrahim Johnson, also played university basketball at numerous universities. Counting both Farmingdale State and Montevallo.

Talking about his academic records he attended Cardigan Mountain School located in Canaan, New Hampshire. After graduating from the Mountain school Bamba joined Westtown School in Westtown, Pennsylvania. Upon successful completion of the high school degree, the basketball player attended the University of Texas for the higher studies degree.

Mohamed Bamba first showed his interest in basketball at the tender age of six, inspired by its popularity in his hometown.

Mo Bamba, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, is best known for his ability to protect the rim and play stifling defense. The Harlem, N.Y. native has a ton of offensive upside, too, especially after revamping his shooting form during the offseason.
