BIOGRAPHY
Gary Clark Jr. was born on November 16th, 1994, in Smithfield, North Carolina. He is a power forward in the NBA.
In his time at Clayton High School, he was a 6ft 8 in power forward. Clark is the only North Carolina High School player to record a quadruple-double. Clark was No.100 overall prospect by ESPN. No.87 by Rivals.
Clark committed to the University of Cincinnati. He entered the starting lineup and the first freshman to start a season opener for the program. At the end of the ACC season, he was named the league's all-rookie team. In his sophomore year, he was one of the top defensive players in the AAC and conference Defensive Player of the Year. In his senior year, Clark was the ACC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Clark averaged 16.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in the conference tournament, which earned him the ACC tournament Most Outstanding Player.
At the 2018 NBA draft, Clark signed with the Houston Rockets. Clark made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018. Clark was originally signed to a two-way.
On January 14, 2020, the Orlando Magic announced that they had signed Clark to a 10-day contract.y contract, but on December 6, 2018 it was converted to a standard deal. The Magic signed him to a second 10-day contract on January 29, and signed for rest of season on February 8. On November 23, 2020, the Magic announced that they had re-signed Clark.
On March 25, 2021, Clark was traded to the Denver Nuggets. On April 9, he was waived after making two appearances.
On May 11, 2021, Clark signed a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.
