DEMARCUS COUSINS HOST FREE CAMP AND DONATES SCORE BOARD

DeMarcus Cousins teamed up with VSP Vision Care to a host a completely free summer basketball camp for underserved and at risk youth at Sacramento High School last week. This was DeMarcus’ 3rd year putting on his Elite Skills Basketball Camp in Sacramento. 165 camp scholarships were given out to several non-profit organizations including St. Hope and St. John’s Program. DeMarcus also awarded 50 scholarships to online applicants who nominated a deserving child from Northern California ranging all the way from Eureka to Manteca.

Donation

Cousins has been giving back around the holidays for four years, even dressing himself up like Santa Claus during some of his charity endeavors.

Donation

Cousins covered the funeral costs for a Sacramento high school football player who was killed shortly before a playoff game. The donation would have remained anonymous, but Sacramento City Council member Rick Jennings revealed Cousins was behind the act of kindness at a candlelight vigil.

Donation

After signing a huge extension with the Kings in 2013, Cousins quietly gave $1 million to local charities.
