BIOGRAPHY
Bryn Jerrel Forbes was born on July 23rd, 1993, in Lansing, Michigan. He is a point guard in the NBA.
Forbes attended and played for J.W Sexton High School. In his junior year, he led Sexton to a 26-2 record and state championship. In his last year, he won back to back Class B State Championships in 2011 and 2012.
Forbes continued his basketball career at Cleveland State. His first season, he averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds ad 1.2 assists in 28.3 minutes. Forbes had double figures in 24 contests that include four games of more than 20 points. His season-high of 24 points came against both Valparaiso University. He was rewarded with 2012-13 Horizon League Newcomer of the Year, Horizon League All-Newcomer Team. In his senior year, Forbes was one of the country's top three-point shooters, making it close to 50%. On March 2nd, 2016, Forbes had a Big Ten Conference record 11 three-point field goals in a 97-66 win against the Rutgers. Forbes was the USBWA All-District V 1st Team, Media All-Big Ten 2nd Team, Coaches All-Big Ten 2nd Team, and PIT All-Tournament Team.
Forbes went on to the 2016 NBA draft and was undrafted. He joined The San Antonio Spurs for NBA Summer League. On July 14th, 2016, he signed with the Spurs. On April 7th, 2017, he made his NBA debut against the Dallas Mavericks and scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Spurs to a 102-89 win. In the 2017 NBA Summer League, he was given the All-NBA Summer League Second Team honors.
On July 20th, 2018, Forbes re-signed with the Spurs. In October 2018, he scored 15 points against the Indiana Pacers and became the first starting point guard for the Spurs other than Tony Parker in 1989. December 13th, in a 125–87 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, Forbes joined Danny Green and Gary Neal as the only Spurs players to score 1,000 points and make 150 3-pointers in their first 150 games with the team. In March 2019, Forbes made 250 career 3-pointer, joining Neal and Davis Bertans as the only players in Spurs history to accomplish that feat in their first three seasons with the team.
On November 26, 2020, the Milwaukee Bucks announced that they had signed with Forbes.
