NBWC is a Black worker power building and worker’s rights advocacy organization that leads with militant joyfulness and Black movement culture. We reject white supremacy culture in movement-building work and lift up the reality that for Blacks, seriousness and joy are not mutually exclusive. Black workers are more than ready to lead, and everyone benefits when they follow the sound of our call.

Championing Black Health through Advocacy, Policy, and Action. Black Health champions the promotion of health and prevention of diseases to reduce disparities and achieve equity within the Black community.

We promote fair elections around the country, encourage voter participation in elections, and educate voters about elections and their voting rights. Fair Fight Action brings awareness to the public on election reform, advocates for election reform at all levels, and engages in other voter education programs and communications.

Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) formed in 2013 to create a new center of gravity in the climate movement by uniting frontline communities and organizations into a formidable force. Our translocal organizing strategy and mobilizing capacity is building a Just Transition away from extractive systems of production, consumption and political oppression, and towards resilient, regenerative and equitable economies. We believe that the process of transition must place race, gender and class at the center of the solutions equation in order to make it a truly Just Transition.

Education Forward DC accelerates the work of visionary education leaders to foster a city of high-quality, equitable public schools for every DC student and family.

The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.
