Michael Bradley was born July 31, 1987, in Princeton, New Jersey He is a midfielder in Major League Soccer.
While his father was the head soccer coach at Princeton University, the family lived in Pennington, New Jersey. Michael spent his teenage years in Palatine, Illinois while his father coached the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer (MLS), and he grew up playing for Sockers FC, who went to the 2002 National Championships and finished third. He later attended the United States Under-17 Men's National Team Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida – the dedicated facility for the training of the Under-17 national team – for four semesters, from 2002 to 2004. Bradley, 26, joined Toronto FC from AS Roma (Roma). Bradley made 11 appearances and scored one goal for Roma. Bradley began his youth career with the United States U-17 Team Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida where he spent four semesters (2002-04). Bradley turned pro at the age of 16 and was selected thirty-sixth overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the MetroStars. Bradley speaks fluent English, Italian, Dutch, German and Spanish. He is married to Amanda, a former University of Rhode Island tennis player. The couple have a son, Luca, who was born on September 30, 2012, and a daughter, Quinn Elle, was born on November 17, 2014.
Toronto FC announced that it has reached a transfer agreement with Italian Serie A club AS Roma and has signed American international midfielder Michael Bradley as a Designated Player. Bradley will join Toronto FC immediately and he was introduced to media and club supporters Monday alongside English international forward Jermain Defoe, marking a historic day for the club.

Bradley was sold to Dutch Eredivisie club SC Heerenveen in January, 2006. He made over 50 appearances during his time at SC Heerenveen, including scoring 21 combined goals in his final season before signing for German Bundesliga club, Borussia Mönchengladbach in January, 2008.
