David Ayala was born July 26, 2002 in Berazategui, Argentina. He is a midfielder in Major League Soccer.

Ayala spent three seasons with Estudiantes de La Plata logging 32 appearances and made his professional debut in Primera Division on December 10, 2019. He became the second youngest player to achieve a senior debut with Estudiantes at the of 17. Ayala joined the Portland Timbers for the 2023 season.
