Carlos Terán was born September 24, 2000, in Turbo, Colombia. He is a defender in Major League Soccer.

On 21 August 2020, Terán joined the Chicago Fire and made his debut on October 28. On April 29, 2023, Terán extended his contract with Chicago until the end of 2026, with a club option for the 2027 season.
