BIOGRAPHY

Adam Jesus Jr. Esparza-Saldana was born on February 7, 2002 in Panorama City, California. He is a midfielder in Major League Soccer. 

Prior to joining the Galaxy, Saldana played U-12 through U-16 with Real SoCal.  He earned 2018 West Conference U-16/17 Best XI honors.  Saldana helped the Galaxy U-16/17 squad reach the 2019 Academy Championship Semifinals and was named 2019 Galaxy Boys’ Academy Player of the Year.  Prior to signing professionally, he had committed to attend the University of California-Irvine. 

Born in the United States, Saldana is of Mexican descent. Saldana represented the United States under-17 national team at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Saldana signed a professional contract with LA Galaxy II on June 18, 2019.  He appeared in eight matches with Los Dos this season, logging 449 minutes. On January 19, 2021, Saldana was signed to LA Galaxy's MLS roster.
