Thyago Vieira was born July 1, 1993, in São Paulo, Brazil. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

On November 16, 2017, Vieira was traded to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for international bonus pool money. He was assigned to the Triple-A Charlotte Knights to begin the season, where he logged a 5.05 ERA in 36 games. In 16 games for the big league club, Vieira pitched to a 7.13 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 16 appearances. In 2019, Vieira struggled to a 9.00 ERA in 6 big league games, but recorded a better 6-4 record and 5.70 ERA in 39 games for Triple-A Charlotte. Vieira was released on December 2, 2019, in order to allow him to pursue an opportunity in Japan.

On December 3, 2019, Vieira signed with the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). In his first NPB season, Vieira pitched to a 3.28 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 24.2 innings of work.
