Manuel Rodriguez was born August 6, 1996, in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

Manuel was selected to the Cubs' 40-man roster, November 20, 2019. He has gone 5-8 with seven saves and a 5.00 ERA (65 ER/117.0 IP) in 83 relief outings covering three seasons in the Cubs minor league system. Manuel was signed by the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent July 21, 2016. In three seasons with Leones de Yucatan in the Mexican League from 2014-16, he went 5-1 with a 2.93 ERA (22 ER/67.2 IP) in 72 relief outings. He was a mid-season All-Star and Rookie of the Year in 2015.
