BIOGRAPHY

Luke Ray Jackson was born on August 24, 1991, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

He made his MLB debut in 2015 with the Texas Rangers. His father, Edward, played football at Florida State, while his mother, Kim, ran track at University of Louisville. He played soccer and football in his youth and did not begin pitching until the ninth grade.

In his second season in the Atlanta organization, he split the year between the Braves and Triple-A Gwinnett. He was elected free agency on 6/15 but returned to the Braves on a major league deal, 6/17, and remained with the club for the rest of the season. He earned his first career save on 6/5 at SD.  In his first season in the Braves organization, he appeared in 43 games out of the bullpen for Atlanta, while also spending time with Triple-A Gwinnett. 

In 2021 with the Braves, Jackson was 2-2 with a 1.98 ERA. The Braves would go on to win the 2021 World Series.
