Jake Odorizzi was born March 27, 1990, in Highland, Illinois. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

The Milwaukee Brewers selected Odorizzi in the first round, with the 32nd overall choice, of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. He had a 9–9 record, a 3.68 earned run average (ERA), and 197 strikeouts in the Milwaukee Brewers system. He played for the Arizona Brewers (2008), Helena Brewers (2009) and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (2010).

Odorizzi throws five pitches. He leads with a four-seam fastball at 91–96 mph. He also has a cutter (mid 80s), slider (low 80s), splitter (mid 80s), and curveball (low-mid 70s).

In 2019, Odorizzi had a career year. He finished 15–7 with a 3.51 ERA in 159 innings, striking out a career-high 178. On November 14, 2019, Odorizzi agreed to the Minnesota Twins qualifying offer of a one-year, $17.8 million contract.
