Jairo Solis was born December 22, 1999, in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

Solís signed with the Houston Astros as an international free agent in 2016. Solís split his professional debut season of 2017 between the DSL Astros, Gulf Coast Astros, and the Greeneville Astros, going a combined 3–2 with a 2.64 ERA and 69 strikeouts over ​61 1⁄3 innings. He spent the 2018 season with the Quad Cities River Bandits, going 2–5 with a 3.55 ERA and 51 strikeouts over ​50 1⁄3 innings.
