Franklyn Kilome was born on June 25, 1995 in La Romana, Dominican Republic. He is a pitcher in the MLB.
Kilome was signed as an 18-year old by the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent in 2013. In 2014, Kilmore began his pro career with Gulf Coast League Phillies. He was named Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Week on July 21-27. Following the season, he was named the 10th-best prospect in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America, and participated in FIL. He spent the entire season with Williamsport (A). He did now allow an ER in 4 of his first 7 starts, and held RHH to a .212 AVG. Following the season, he was named the 8th-best prospect in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America and participated in FIL.
Kilome spent the entire 2016 season with Lakewood (A). He posted the best SO/9.0 IP ratio among South Atlantic League starters and T-9th overall in SO (130). He recorded a 2.74 ERA in his final 20 starts after allowing 17 ER in his first 9.2 IP, allowing 3 ER or fewer in 17 straight starts from May 2-August 16. He struck out 9 batters or more 5 times, including a professional-high 11 SO on August 9 at Delmarva. Following the season, he was named the 7th-best prospect in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America. Kilome also participated in Florida Instructional League.
He began the 2017 season with Clearwater, posting a 1.92 ERA over his final 12 starts with Clearwater. He was promoted to Reading on August 5. He allowed 4 ER in 21.0 innings over a 3-start span on August 16-26. Following the season, he was named the 10th-best prospect in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America. Kilome made 6 starts for Escogido in the Dominican Winter League. In the 2018 season, Kilome was ranked fourth in the Eastern League with 125 strikeouts. He tied for second in the league with 26 starts. He had the fifth-best strikeout per nine inning ratio. In seven starts after joining the Mets' minor league system, he produced a 1.08 WHIP and a 4.2 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 38.0 innings spanning seven starts. Kilome tossed a season-high-tying 7.0 innings in his organizational debut on July 29 at Altoona.
