BIOGRAPHY
Wyatt Ray was born on October 24th, 1996, in Boca Raton, Florida. He currently plays defensive end for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL.
Prior to his college career, Ray was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas 2014 state championship team. He earned All-State Class 7A first-team honors as a senior and also notched first-team all-county accolades. Ray recorded 70 tackles, including 20 for loss, and 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in senior season.
During his freshman season in 2015, Ray played in all 12 games of his freshman campaign. He was listed second on the depth chart as a defensive end. Ray saw action in 73 plays on defense and an additional five as a member of the special teams unit and amassed four tackles, including three solo, and recorded a pass breakup.
In 2016 during his sophomore season, Ray played in all 13 games on the defensive line. He recorded 27 tackles, including seven for a loss of 29 yards, and 4.5 sacks for a loss of 22 yards and also forced a fumble. He was part of the defense that ranked in the top 10 in the country in eight categories, including ninth in total defense (314.2 yards/game), second in sacks (3.62 sacks/game) sixth in tackles for loss (8.2 TFL/game) and seventh in rushing defense (108.5 yards/game).
During his junior season in 2017, Ray appeared in 13 games, including four starts at defensive end. He played in every game over the last three seasons (38). Ray made 39 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks on the year. In 2018 during his senior season, Ray was named All-ACC Third Team. Ray was also named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week and the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week following the Wake Forest game.
Wyatt Ray signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills in 2019.
