BIOGRAPHY
Tony Pollard was born on April 30, 1997, in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a running back in the National Football League.
He attended Melrose High School; he played for head coach Eddie Woods. He had over 1,200 receiving yards and scored 20 TD in 2014 and was named to The Commercial Appeal 2014 Class 4A-5A Best of the Preps Team. He was also selected to play in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl All-Star Game.
He played college football for the Tigers at the University of Memphis; in his first season in 2015, he redshirted. In 2016 Played in all 13 games and made seven starts; he made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season. He was one of college football’s top kick returners in 2016; he Ranked among FBS leaders in kick return total yards (2nd; 1,068), kick return average (8th; 28.1 yard), kick return TD (2nd; 2), and total kick returns (6th; 38) and led the American Athletic Conference in total kick returns, kick return yardage, kick return average and kick return TD.
In 2017 Led the nation in kick-return average at 40.0 yards per return; he tied for FBS lead with four kick returns for TD. He played in all 13 games, had 22 kick returns for 881 yards, 30 rushes for 230 yards, 36 receptions for 536 yards and one punt return for two yards; he logged a team-high 1,649 all-purpose yards. His 1,649 all-purpose yards were the fourth-most for a season in school history, and his 881 kick-return yards were the third-most for a season in program history.
On January 11, 2019, Pollard declared for the 2019 NFL Draft. Just six days later, on January 17, 2019, Pollard was added to the 2019 North Senior Bowl roster. The Dallas Cowboys selected pollard in the fourth round (128th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft. Overall, in his rookie season, he finished with 455 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to go along with 15 receptions for 107 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
In the 2020 season, Pollard ran for 10 yards and caught 2 passes for 22 yards in week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams. Pollard recorded his first touchdown of the season on a three-yard carry against the Cleveland Browns in week 4. In Week 9 match-up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pollard ran for a season-high 57 yards on 9 carries. In Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers, Pollard recorded 132 yards from scrimmage and two rushing touchdowns during the 41–33 win.
On March 6, 2023, the Cowboys placed the franchise tag on Pollard.
Pollard signed a 3-year deal with the Titans during the 2024 NFL offseason.
