Terence Steele was born June 4, 1997, in Cibolo, Texas. He is an offensive tackle in the NFL. 

Steele played college football at Texas Tech from 2015 to 2019, starting 47 games. He played left tackle and left guard but mainly played right tackle. After redshirting his freshman season, Steele was named to the All-Big 12 freshman team in 2016. Steele helped the Red Raiders offense lead the nation in passing yards and total offense blocking for Patrick Mahomes, whom he credited with putting the team on the map. He started 37 consecutive games before missing two games at the start of his senior year due to an offseason injury. Steele received All-Big 12 honorable mention honors following his junior and senior seasons for the Red Raiders. He was part of an offensive line that allowed 18 sacks during his senior season. Following his college career, Steele participated in the Senior Bowl. He attended the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine.

Following the conclusion of the 2020 NFL Draft, Steele was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. Because of the season-ending injury to Starting right tackle La'el Collins, Steele was pressed into the starting lineup for the Cowboys. Steele played in all 16 games with 14 starts. For the season, he was called for only 4 penalties, quite an accomplishment for any lineman, especially a rookie right tackle.

On September 3, 2023, Steele signed a five-year, $86.8 million contract extension with the Cowboys.
