BIOGRAPHY

N'Keal Harry was born on December 17th, 1997, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and currently plays wide receiver for the New England Patriots in the NFL.

At high school, Harry participated in the Under Armour All-American game as a member of Team Highlight and played in the International Bowl on the U.S. U19 National Team where he led the team with 5 catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over Team Canada, he won the state title with current Sun Devil quarterback Bryce Perkins at Chandler in 2014, and earned a five-star rating from Rivals.com, making him the second five-star recruit to sign with ASU under Coach Graham; tabbed as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Arizona, the highest-rated Rivals.com local recruit to sign with ASU; listed by Rivals.com as the No. 18 overall prospect and No. 1 WR prospect in the country.

Rivals named him the Freshman most likely to have an impact in the Pac-12 in 2016; rated as the nation’s No. 22 overall prospect; No. 1 WR prospect and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Arizona by ESPN; ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Arizona as well as the No. 52 overall prospect in the country by 24/7 sports; listed as the No. 114 overall prospect in the country and No. 4 WR in the West region by Scout; No. 124 ranked prospect in the country, garnering him Top 150 Dream Team honors from PrepStar; listed in the annual Tacoma News-Tribune Western 100.

Harry finished his prolific High School career with 119 catches for 2,715 yards and 25 touchdowns, played in just 11 games as a Senior, catching 48 passes for 802 yards and seven touchdowns; caught 30 passes for 657 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Division I State Champions in his Junior season; made 41 receptions for 716 yards and five touchdowns in just nine games on varsity as a Sophomore, and averaged more than 21 points and 10 rebounds a game during his basketball career on Varsity.

During his first year of college in 2016, he earned Freshman All-America honors from Scout, Campus Insiders and Pro Football Focus, Harry's 58 catches led all Freshman receivers in the nation and he tied for fourth with five touchdowns as he flashed his downfield ball skills throughout the year on his way to the No. 2 grade among Freshman receivers by Scout, setting ASU’s Freshman record with 58 receptions, breaking Zach Miller’s previous record of 56.

He started in all 12 games and finished the season second on the team in receiving yards (659), only trailing veteran Tim White, and led all receivers with five touchdowns and 58 catches on the year, became the second Sun Devil true Freshman in history to score in each of their three two starts to open a season with his one-handed snag against UTSA (9/16) en route to a team-leading five catches for 78 yards, and had his first career touchdown reception against Texas Tech (9/10), leading the Devils with six catches for 72 yards.

As a sophomore in 2017, he was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team, led Pac-12 with 87 receiving yards per game, and was second in the conference in receptions and yards, caught 82 passes for 1,142 yards on the season with eight touchdowns, leading the team in all categories and led the team in receiving yards in eight of 13 games, and was second in the Pac-12 with 120 targets and 82 catches.

The 82 catches were good for a tie for third in ASU single-season history with Jaelen Strong (2014). Only Shaun McDonald (87, 2002) and Derek Hagan (83, 2004) rank ahead of him, the 1,142 yards receiving are seventh in ASU single-season history, he had a huge game at Texas Tech, with 13 catches for 148 yards and a touchdown, as well as one rush for 17 yards, had a season-high 170 receiving yards against Oregon on just seven catches, threw for a 14-yard touchdown against Stanford, had three games of 140+ yards (TTU, Stanford, NC State), and according to PFF, Harry averaged a 107.0 QB rating when he was targeted, over 16 points higher than the NCAA average.

As a junior in 2018, the standout local wide receiver declared for the NFL Draft after a tremendous three-year career in Tempe, he was named to Pac-12 All-Conference team at wide receiver (First-Team) and return specialist (Second Team), and ended his junior campaign with 1,088 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, marking the second time in his career with 1000+ yards in a season and eclipsing a previous career-high of eight touchdowns.

Harry leaves ASU third in program history in both career receptions (213) and career receiving yards (2,889), hauled in a career-high three receiving touchdowns in a matchup against Pac-12 South Champion and 16th-ranked Utah (11/3), finished his junior year second in the Pac-12 in receiving yards (1,088), fourth in receptions (73) and fourth in touchdowns (9), led the team in receptions (73), receiving yards (1,088) and receiving touchdowns (10) to cap off his final year in a Sun Devil uniform, tallied 100+ yards in three of the last four games as a Sun Devil, and had a reception in 12 straight games in his junior campaign, marking a reception in all 37 games at Arizona State – which was tied for the 10th-longest active streak among all FBS players.

Harry was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft with the 32nd overall pick. He was the second wide receiver to be selected that year. Harry was also the first wide receiver Bill Belichick has drafted in the first round during his tenure with the Patriots, and the first wide receiver the Patriots have drafted in the first round since Terry Glenn in 1996. On May 14, 2019, Harry signed a 4-year deal with the Patriots worth $10.1 million featuring a $5.3 million signing bonus. On September 2, 2019, he was placed on injured reserve as a result of the ankle injury he sustained during training camp.
