BIOGRAPHY
Kyle Peko was born on July 23, 1993, in La Habra, California. He is a nose tackle in the NFL. In his early years, Peko attended La Habra high school where he started playing football and spent four years on the football team and was coached by former Falcon player and assistant coach Frank Mazzotta, Jr. Peko was named the team’s Rookie of the Year, three-time all-area selection and the team won the CIF Championship as a sophomore. He earned the league’s Lineman of the Year two years in a row and was two-time All-CIF and first team All-Freeway League selection.
When he graduated from La Habra high school, Peko attended Cerritos College where he had a solid season where he posted 39 tackles in which 13 were solo, 13 quarterback hurries, and eight quarterback sacks and he is being recruited by almost every Top 20 Division I program. He recorded a season-high seven tackles against Palomar College, while he had a season-high two and a half tackles for loss against Allan Hancock College and also had five stops against Los Angeles Harbor College. He then transferred to Oregon State in September of 2014. As a senior in 2015, he played and started all 12 games recording 45 tackles including 4.5 tackles-for-loss and 2.0 sacks, and he also blocked a PAT at California and a field goal at Oregon. Peko was one of 12 players to participate in a special forces leadership development program at Camp Williams in Utah and was named Pac-12 Honorable Mention. After the 2015 season, he decided to enter the 2016 NFL Draft.
On May 3, 2016, Peko signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft, but on September 20, he was released by the Broncos and was re-signed to the practice squad on September 22 and was promoted to the active roster on December 28. On September 1, 2018, Peko was waived by the Broncos and was signed to the practice squad the next day but yet again was released on September 11, 2018. On September 12, 2018, Peko was signed to the Buffalo Bills practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract with the Bills on December 31, 2018.
