BIOGRAPHY
Henry Wyatt Anderson was born on August 3, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a defensive end in the NFL.
He attended Woodward high school; he was the nation's 27th-best defensive end prospect by Rivals, 42nd by Scout. He recorded 81 tackles (14 for loss) 9.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and six pass breakups in 2009. He made 183 tackles and 20.5 sacks during his prep career and Led Woodward Region 4AAA runner-up finishes in 2008 and 2009.
He played college football for the Cardinals at the Stanford University; in 2010 as a freshman, he did not see action. In 2011 as a sophomore he played in all 13 games; he recorded six tackles on the season. In 2012 he was named All-Pac-12 second team, Pac-12 All-Academic first team, Capital One Academic All-District and was a Recipient of Tommy Vardell Award for excellence in athletics and academics. He Started 14 games and recorded 50 tackles (27 solo), 16 tackles for loss, six sacks and five pass breakups.
In 2013 he earned Phil Steele preseason All-Pac-12 second team, Athlon Sports preseason All-Pac-12 third team, Preseason All-Pac-12 first team by Lindy's, All-Pac-12 honorable mention, and Pac-12 All-Academic first team. He played in eight games and had 19 tackles (eight solo), 4.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks.
In 2014 he recorded 65 tackles (40 solo), 15.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and two pass breakups. He earned Capital One Academic All-District, Pac-12 All-Academic first team, All-Pac-12 first team, and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 first team.
The Indianapolis Colts drafted Anderson in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. On April 28, 2018, Anderson was traded to the New York Jets; He played in all 16 games with three starts, recording a career-high 35 combined tackles, seven sacks, and four passes defended. On March 12, 2019, Anderson signed a three-year contract extension with the Jets.
On March 19, 2021, Anderson signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots.
