Garrett Wilson was born July 22, 2000, in Columbus, Ohio. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.

As a true freshman at Ohio State in 2019, Wilson played in all 14 games and had 30 receptions for 432 yards and five touchdowns. Entering 2020, he was moved from outside to slot receiver. On November 21, 2020, Wilson became the 2nd Buckeye ever to record four straight games with at least 100 yards receiving.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, Wilson was selected with the #10 overall pick by the New York Jets.

He made his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. In Week 2, against the Cleveland Browns, he recorded his first two NFL touchdowns as part of an eight-reception, 102-yard performance in the 31–30 victory.

On February 9, 2023, Wilson was awarded the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
