BIOGRAPHY
Cornelius Lucas was born on July 18th, 1991, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is an offensive tackle in NFL.
During high school, Lucas was a three-year starter who helped the Cougars clinch consecutive district championships in 2007 and 2008. He earned the first team all-district honors and was named the outstanding offensive lineman of the year. Lucas was named second team all-district as a junior in 2007. During his freshman season in 2010, Lucas appeared in 12 games as a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams. As a sophomore in 2011, he appeared in 12 games as a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams. In 2012, during his junior season, Lucas started all 13 games at left tackle. At the end of his college career during his senior season, Lucas began all 13 games at left tackle in 2013, helping the Wildcats earn their first bowl victory in 11 years.
The Detroit Lions signed Lucas on May 12, 2014. He played in 35 games and started six for the Lions from 2014 to 2016. The Lions tendered him on March 9, 2017. On September 3, 2017.
On September 12, 2017, Lucas was signed by the Los Angeles Rams. He made his first and only start of the season in the Week 17 matchup against the 49ers at right tackle.
On April 16, 2018, Lucas re-signed with the Rams. He was released on August 31, 2018. On December 20, 2018.
Cornelius Lucas has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for Chicago Bears for the National Football League. On January 23, 2019, Lucas signed a reserve/future contract with the Chicago Bears.
On March 27, 2020, Lucas signed with the Washington Football Team.
