BIOGRAPHY

Cody Barton was born on November 13th, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a middle linebacker in the National Football League.

Barton was a first-team All-State defensive back as a senior in 2014. He played safety and tight end and was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com. He recorded72 total tackles and three interceptions in addition to 27 receptions for 334 yards and two touchdowns in 2014 as a senior. 

Barton played collegiate football at Utah where he earned playing time as a true freshman. He was a four-year letterman and honorable mention all-conference linebacker as a senior when he led Utah in tackles. Barton played in 50 games with 23 starts. 

Cody Barton was selected in the third round by the Seattle Seahawks with the 88th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.  

Barton signed a a one year deal, full guaranteed with the Washington Commanders on March 13, 2022.
