Mason Plumlee was born on March 5, 1990, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is a forward in the NBA.
Known for his versatile play, winning mentality and exceptional work ethic, he has earned universal praise from coaches and teammates and the passionate support of NBA fans across the globe. A former first-round pick, gold medalist for the US Men’s National Team, and NBA All-Rookie First Team honoree, Mason is widely recognized as one of the top playmaking forwards in the world. During his four-year collegiate career at Duke University, he helped lead the Blue Devils to an NCAA championship and twice earned first-team All-Academic honors.
Off the court, Mason is among the league’s savviest and most respected entrepreneurs and investors with a vast network in business, sports, and academia. Mason is hands-on with every venture — reading, researching, and connecting with experts in the business world. His passion for learning and unique access afforded by a career in pro sports have yielded opportunities to engage with and learn from business leaders in a variety of fields. He is the creator and host of several programs highlighting founders and entrepreneurs, including the Founder Series with Mason Plumlee and Founder Fridays, which highlight inspirational entrepreneurs and their companies.
Mason is a partner in AIRE, a real estate fund, and has invested in multiple start-up ventures. He holds a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Nike and marketing partnerships with a number of other companies. Mason is the first NBA player to have an annual basketball camp in Dubai.
