Jeffries attended Santa Fe High School. After graduating, he went to Western Texas College and Oral Roberts. He transferred to the University of Tulsa and played college basketball.
In the 2019 NBA Draft, Jeffries went undrafted. He signed with the Orlando Magic on June 21, 2019.
