Kids' Meals

Our mission is to end childhood hunger by delivering free healthy meals to the doorsteps of Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children and through collaboration provide their families with resources to help end the cycle of poverty. Kids’ Meals is the only program of its kind in the nation, and you built this program right along with us. What began as two delivery vans has grown into a fleet of 9 vans sharing not just food, but connection to more than 43 wrap-around service partners who are here to help families break the poverty cycle. But it all begins with growing healthier children, which is why we are laser-focused on feeding children under age 6 who don’t have access to free school-based meals. Harris County is home to more than 24,000 preschool-aged children living in food insecurity. We will not quit until no child is hungry.

Cristo Rey Jesuit

On August 10, 2009, Founding President Fr. TJ Martinez, SJ, along with his Board of Trustees and Directors opened Cristo Rey Jesuit with an inaugural class of 82 students, each of whom worked at leading businesses and corporations across Houston. It was the first Jesuit Cristo Rey school in the southern part of the United States. Today, under the visionary leadership of President Paul Beck, the school is the second-largest in the Cristo Rey Network. Now, with 530 enrolled students and 693 alumni, we are celebrating 110 years of miracles and milestones, and looking to the future.
