Striking Out Poverty

Living in the greatest country in the world obviously has it’s benefits. We have the ability to keep our hunger satisfied and our thirst quenched. We are so privileged that we can throw left overs from breakfast, lunch and dinner in the garbage and not think twice. Baseball has blessed me with the opportunity to travel around the world and change my perspective and understanding about what normal is. What we as Americans have is not normal. What we have is too much and I speak from my heart when I say it has desensitized us to what the rest of the world has to go through in order to have a roof over their head, put food on the table and have safe drinking water.

Teammates for Kids
