Anderson Severino

BIOGRAPHY

Anderson Severino was born September 17, 1994, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

Severino signed with the New York Yankees for the 2014 season. Severino started in the Yankees Dominican Rookie League posting an ERA of 3.97 in 4 games, 2 of them starts in 2014. In 2015 to 2017, Severino posted ERAs of 2.61, 6.29, and 1.59 in the Rookie League. In 2017 he was moved to the bullpen. In 2018, Severino was moved up to the Yankees Class A team where he posted an ERA of 3.64 before being moved up to A+. Severino posted a combined ERA of 3.74 in 30 games. In 2019, Severino posted an ERA of 4.71 in 16 games for the Yankees. There was no Minor League season in 2020 and Severino elected Free Agency after the 2020 season. On November 17, Severino signed a Minor League contract with the Chicago White Sox. In 2021, Severino posted an ERA of 2.36 in 40 games.

The White Sox added Severino to their 40-man roster after the 2021 season.
