Kevin Shattenkirk was born on January 29th, 1989 in New Rochelle, New York. He is a defenseman in the National Hockey League.

Shattenkirk was drafted in the first round, 14th overall, at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Avalanche and made his NHL debut with them in 2010. He also played with the St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Anaheim Ducks. Shattenkirk won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Lightning in 2020. As a free agent from the Ducks, Shattenkirk was signed to a one-year, $1.05 million contract with the Boston Bruins on July 1, 2023.
