Wes Martin

BIOGRAPHY

Wesley Martin was born on May 9th, 1996, in West Milton, Ohio. He is an offensive guard in the NFL.

He attended Milton-Union high school, where he was an Offensive lineman for head coach Mark Lane. He was a first-team all-state, all-region, and all-conference as a senior and named the league’s offensive lineman of the year in 2012. He was third-team all-state, first-team all-region, and first-team all-conference his junior year.

He played college football at Indiana University; in 2014, he redshirted. As a freshman in 2015 he Started the first six games and appeared in all 13 at left guard and Indiana finished first in the Big Ten in total offense, passing offense, and scoring offense, while placing second in rushing offense; the Hoosiers became the first team since Ohio State in 1995 to lead the league in total, passing and scoring offense.

As a sophomore in 2016, he started all 13 games at left guard, and Indiana ranked second in the Big Ten in passing offense (273.8) and third in total offense (426.0). In 2017 as a junior, he started all 12 games at left guard, and he recorded the most pass-blocking snaps (569) among guards nationally without allowing a sack.

As a senior in 2018, he started all 12 games at left guard and allowed just two sacks in 935 snaps. He was Team captain; he was William V. Campbell Trophy semifinalist and honorable mention All-Big Ten (coaches, media).

The Washington Redskins drafted Martin in the fourth round (131st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
