Tyler Shatley was born on May 5, 1991, in Valdese, North Carolina. He is a guard in the NFL.

Began his career at Clemesons' as a fullback, before moving to the defensive line in 2010 and the offensive line in the spring of 2012. He played in 51 games with 27 starts. He also started 25 games on offense over his final two seasons and registered 60 knockdowns on 1,776 snaps. As a senior in 2013, was a team captain and earned third-team All-ACC honors. As a junior in 2013, named a Strength & Conditioning All-American by the NSCA.

Following the 2014 NFL Draft, Shatley was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent. He made the team's 53-man roster on August 30, 2014. On February 21, 2017, Shatley signed a one-year extension with the Jaguars. In 2018, Shatley started seven games at center following a season-ending injury to Brandon Linder. On March 29, 2019, Shatley re-signed with the Jaguars.
