Trent McDuffie was born February 28, 2001, in Westminster, California. He is a cornerback in the NFL.

McDuffie attended St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California. After his senior year, he was selected to the All-American Bowl. He committed to the University of Washington to play college football. McDuffie played in all 13 games with 11 starts as a true freshman at Washington in 2019. He had 45 tackles and one interception. As a sophomore in 2020, he started all four of Washington's games and had 14 tackles and an interception.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, he was taken #21 overall by the Kansas City Chiefs.

McDuffie helped the Chiefs reach Super Bowl LVII, where he recorded 5 tackles in the 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
