BIOGRAPHY
Tracy Walker was born on February 1, 1995, in Brunswick, Georgia. He is a safety in the NFL.
Tabor played college football at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
During high school, Walker registered 67 tackles with five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and seven TFL during the senior season and also received all-area kudos. He was an honorable mention pick as a junior after making 57 tackles with two interceptions and lettered twice in football.
During his freshman season in 2014, Walker appeared in all 13 games for Louisiana earning starts in the final eight games. He finished seventh on the team with 44 tackles and tied for team-lead with two interceptions. In 2015 during his sophomore season, Walker was the second-leading tackler for the Ragin’ Cajuns, recording 74 tackles (54 solos) with five stops for loss. He played in all 12 games with ten starts and added six pass breakups and a forced fumble on the season.
During his junior season in 2016, Walker played in all 13 games and started in 12 for the Ragin' Cajuns, finishing as the fourth-leading tackler (61) and team-leader in interceptions (3). He posted three pass breakups on the season and added 2.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. In 2017, during his senior season, Walker played in all 12 games and started in 12 for the Ragin' Cajuns, finishing as the team leader in tackles (97) and interceptions (2). He posted six pass breakups on the season and 3.5 tackles for loss. He finished his career ranked third all-time in Louisiana history for sacks by a defensive back (276 career tackles).
On December 16, 2017, it was announced that Walker had accepted his invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game. The Detroit Lions selected Walker in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
On May 16, 2018, the Detroit Lions signed Walker to a four-year contract.
In March 2022, he signed a three-year extension.
