BIOGRAPHY

Taven Coal Bryan was born on March 11, 1996, in Casper, Wyoming. He is a defensive tackle in the National Football League. 

He attended Natrona County high school; he was unanimously selected as the 2013 Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He was named to the All-State First Team on both the defensive line and the offensive line and to the All-Conference First Team on the offensive line as a high school senior.

He played college football for the Gators at the University of Florida; in 2014 he did not see any game action and redshirted. In 2015 Played in 12 games and started at defensive tackle; he recorded ten tackles with 1.5 tackles-for-loss, two quarterback hurries and recovered a fumble and returned it 48 yards.

In 2016 he appeared in all 13 games throughout the season and started two; he totaled 17 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, one sack, two quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. He led the team with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. In 2017 he started all 11 games at defensive tackle; he recorded 40 total tackles, six tackles-for-loss, four sacks, and three quarterback hurries. His four sacks were tied for the second-most on the team.

After his junior season in 2017, Bryan decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Bryan in the first round (29th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. On March 16, 2022, Bryan signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns. Bryan signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2023.
