BIOGRAPHY
Siran Neal was born on August 4, 1995, in Dothan, Alabama. He is a strong safety in the National Football League.
Neal studied at the University of Jacksonville and is a cornerback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. In his early years, Neal attended Eufaula High School where he started playing football. Before transferring to Eufaula, Neal was an All-State wide receiver for the Yellow Jackets in 2011, when he caught 54 passes and 13 touchdowns. He was listed at No. 44 on the top prospect list and was rated as a two-star recruit by Scout.com. He played his senior season in Eufaula and was a first-team All-State selection as an athlete as a senior in 2012 when he led the Tigers to an 8-3 record. He hauled in 22 catches for 377 yards, more than 17 yards per catch, and eight touchdowns.
After finishing high school, Neal committed to the University of Jacksonville to play college football. After redshirting in 2013, Neal made his Jax State debut in the 2014 season opener at Michigan State where he tallied four tackles, including three solo stops in the contest and finished the season with 32 total tackles. He led the Gamecock defense with a season-high 10 tackles in the NCAA Playoff match up with Sam Houston State. In 2015, he appeared in all 15 games for the Gamecocks and recorded a start against Murray State. He recorded 40 tackles on the season, including seven against the Racers and five against NDSU in the FCS National Championship game. Neal also recorded an interception against Mississippi Valley State, tallied half a tackle for loss against SEMO, and forced his lone fumble in his lone start of the season, against MSU. In 2016, Neal started all 12 games for JSU and finished with 80 tackles on the year, second-best on the defense. He earned first-team All-OVC honors and set a career-high in tackles with 12 at Murray State on Nov. 12. He credited with four-or-more tackles in every game of the season and forced his lone fumble of the season against the Chanticleers.
After graduating from college, Neal entered the 2018 NFL Draft and was selected in the fifth round by the Buffalo Bills. He made his NFL debut in the Bills season opener against the Baltimore Ravens and in Week 4, against the Green Bay Packers, he recorded his first professional sack.
