BIOGRAPHY
Robert Woods was born on April 10th, 1992 in Gardena, California. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.
He attended and played high school football and ran track at Junípero Serra High School in Gardena, California, where he was a teammate of George Farmer and Marqise Lee. Woods was named the 2009 USA Today All-USA First Team as a senior at Serra High School, after tallying 15 touchdowns and more than 1,100 receiving yards in addition to eight interceptions on defense. Woods helped lead the school to a 15-0 record and the California Division III championship.
Woods played college football for the USC Trojans football from 2010 to 2012 under head coach Lane Kiffin. In 2010, was named the Pac-10’s Offensive Freshman of the Year andled the Pac-12 with 9.3 receptions per game as a sophomore. He started 38-of-38 games in his three-year career at USC and finished his career as the Trojans’ all-time leader in receptions with 252. Woods currently ranks eighth in program history with 2,930 receiving yards, second in receiving touchdowns with 32, and also set the Trojans all-time record for most receptions in a game with 17. He ended his time at USC with 200 total points scored.
Robert Woods was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round with the 41st overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Woods was signed by the Rams as a free agent on March 9th, 2017. Woods is entering his seventh year and his third season with the Rams, after signing as a free agent prior to the 2017 season. Woods hauled in the third-longest reception in franchise history, a 94-yard touchdown reception from QB Jared Goff vs. Houston on November 12th, 2017. He has played in 85 regular-season games with 75 starts in addition to four postseason starts and posted his first 1,000-plus yard season in the NFL in 2018.
Woods finished the 2019 season with 90 receptions for 1,134 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games and starts.
Woods started off the 2020 season with six receptions for 105 receiving yards in a 20–17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. On September 18, 2020, Woods signed a four-year, $65 million contract extension with the Rams. In Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football, Woods recorded 12 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown during the 27–24 win. He later earned the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award. Overall, in the 2020 season, Woods finished with 90 receptions for 936 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. In addition, he had 24 carries for 155 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The Rams made the playoffs and earned the #6-seed in the NFC. In the Wild Card Round against the Seattle Seahawks, he had four receptions for 48 receiving yards and a touchdown in the 30–20 victory.
In March of 2022, he was traded to the Tennessee Titans.
On March 13, 2023, Woods signed a two contract with the Houston Texans.
