Robert Jackson

BIOGRAPHY

Robert Jackson was born on December 8th, 1993, in Fort Myers, Florida. He is a defensive back for the Cleveland Browns of the NFL. In his early years, Jackson graduated from Lehigh Senior High School in Lehigh Acres, Florida, in 2013, where he was a varsity letter winner in track and field. Jackson attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As a freshman, he turned in 14 tackles and appeared in 7 games. As a sophomore, he finished with 57 tackles, which ranked as the third-most on the team, and 2.5 tackles for loss in 10 games. 

In 2016, he earned his first letter as a Rebel by appearing in 10 games. He finished with 11 total tackles, including 1.5 TFL, and broke up two passes. Jackson was earning a starting spot near the end of junior and he was rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals campaign. As a midyear signee in December, he enrolled to UNLV in January and took part in spring practice. Jackson was a hard-hitting defensive back who originally hailed from the Sunshine State but spent time in California before joining UNLV, and was listed as the starter at one CB spot heading into the fall. 

In 2018, Jackson signed with the Houston Texans practice squad prior to Week 6 and waived by Houston prior to Week 7 before being signed to the Browns practice squad prior to Week 9 and spending Weeks 9-14 with the unit. He finished the final three weeks of the season on the team’s practice squad.
