Ray Wilborn

BIOGRAPHY

Ray Wilborn was born on April 1, 1997 in Lansing, Michigan. He is a linebacker for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL.

Wilborn earned four letters from head coach Dan Bogan at J.W. Sexton High School. He was a two-time first team all-state honoree, two-time captain and set the school single-season sack record as a junior (18). He posted eight sacks on defense, 970 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns on offense as a senior. He helped the Big Reds reach the state finals in his senior season.

Wilborn played two years at Garden City Community College in Kansas under head coach Jeff Sims. He racked up 120 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 23 tackles for loss in 23 games with the Broncbusters. He recorded a tackle for loss in 10 of 12 games in 2017. As a junior he transferred to Ball State University where he started all 12 games at outside linebacker. He led the Cardinals in tackles (83) and tackles for loss (10.5). As a senior, he made the move from linebacker to safety late in the spring season. He started all 12 games at safety and finished third on the team with 83 tackles. Wilborn recorded interceptions in games against NC State (Sept. 21) and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 12). He went on to play in the 2020 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Wilborn originally signed by the Atlanta Falcons on April 26, 2020. He was relased by the Falcons after training camp and spent part of this season on the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad. The Packers signed Ray Wilborn to reserve/future contracts on Jan. 8, 2021.
