Fulfilling his dream, in 2009 he established the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund at Mott. Today, its mission — of advancing innovative research ideas that have great potential to transform treatment approaches and offer real cures for children who need it most — is providing new hope for families everywhere. At a time when industry and government support for creative programs is shrinking, especially when it comes to pediatric medicine, the Woodson Fund is ensuring young investigators’ breakthrough discoveries (the out-of-the-box ideas that could change the world) are not lost.
