BIOGRAPHY
Marcus Epps was born on January 27th, 1996, in Burbank, California. He plays safety in the National Football League.
In his early years, Epps attended Edison High school where in his senior year, he 74 tackles and 3 interceptions in which 1 was returned for a touchdown. He also had 20 receptions for 283 yards and by the end of the season, he earned All-Sunset League honors.
After he finished high school, Epps committed to the University of Wyoming where he played college football. After he redshirted his freshman year in 2014, he entered his sophomore year in 2015, playing in 11 games, ranking third on the team in total tackles and leading the Pokes in interceptions with two. He recorded 83 tackles on the season with 59 solo stops and 24 assisted tackles and ranked fifth in the Mountain West and No. 39 in the nation in solo tackles per game at 5.4 and ranked 12th in the MW in total tackles. He also recorded two tackles for loss for five yards and added a forced fumble and four pass breakups. As a junior in 2016, Epps was a valuable playmaker in the UW secondary. He finished the season with 111 tackles ranking second on the team and also added six tackles for loss. Epps tied for the team lead in interceptions with three and also led the Cowboys this season with six pass breakups. In his senior year in 2017, Epps continued to be one of the top playmakers not only on the Cowboys but in the Mountain West Conference. He finished the season with 68 tackles with 42 solo stops and 26 assisted and also recorded one sack, five tackles for loss, four interceptions on the season and also broke up four passes.
After he graduated from college, Epps entered the 2019 NFL Draft where he was selected in the sixth round by the Minnesota Vikings. On November 7, 2019, Epps was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles. He has been the starting safety all 2022 season and playoffs.
Epps signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023.
