Marcell Ateman was born on September 16, 1994 in Dallas, Texas. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.

Growing up in Dallas, Texas, Marcell attended Wiley East High School. While there, he had 84 catches for 1,584 yards and 27 TDs as a senior. He was named 1st team all-area selection by the Dallas Morning News. In addition, he played basketball. As a four star recruit, he decided to play at Oklahoma State.

When Ateman stepped on campus, he made an immediate impact by playing in all 12 games his freshman season. During his sophomore season, he started in 7 games with 268 receiving yards. Junior year was a breakout season for Ateman when he had 11 catches over 20 yards. He decided to stay for his senior season when he had 59 receptions for 1,156 yards. He went into the 2018 NFL draft where he was drafted in the 7th round (228th pick) by the Las Vegas Raiders.
