BIOGRAPHY
Malik Taylor was born on December 21st, 1995, in Flint, Michigan. He plays wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. In his early years, Taylor attended Hill McCloy High school where as a junior in 2012, he totaled 690 receiving yards on 34 catches and also ran for more than 300 yards. In his senior year in 2013, Taylor played both running back and wide receiver. He helped his squad advance to the state semifinals and led Montrose to the regional title game as a junior along with a second-straight league championship.
After he finished high school, Taylor committed to the University of Ferris State where he redshirted his freshman year in 2014. As a sophomore in 2015, Taylor played in nine games, recording 6 receptions for 80 yards. By the end of the season, he was a member of FSU squad that won a second-straight GLIAC Championship and reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs and provided valuable depth as a receiver. As a junior in 2016, Taylor started all 15 games at wide receiver, ranking as the team's leading receiver with 47 receptions for 1,017 yards and five touchdowns. By the end of the season, he was a member of the Bulldogs' 2016 team that advanced to the NCAA Division II National Semifinals. As a senior in 2017, Taylor was the starting wideout and all-conference choice and caught a team-high 61 passes for 906 yards and six touchdowns and also ranked as one of squad's top return men. By the end of the season, he helped the team to a second-straight national quarterfinal appearance and was a preseason honors candidate.
After he graduated from college, Taylor entered the 2019 NFL Draft where he was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 10th but was released by the team on May 13th. He was later signed by the Green Bay Packers on July 19th. Taylor was waived on August 31 and signed to the practice squad on September 1. On September 5, 2020 it was announced Taylor had made the 53-man roster. Taylor made his NFL debut Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. Taylor pulled in his first career reception for 20 yards on a 4th down against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. Taylor caught his first touchdown in Week 7 against the Houston Texans.
